Biography
Samuel discovered his passion for painting at an early age. From childhood, Samuel's paint brush became an extension of his mind and soul, and as he discovered the world around him, he expressed his personal experiences and dreams through this medium.
Born in 1978, in the country of India, Samuel was formally trained in Fashion Design and Woven design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology in New Delhi. Samuel's inquisitive nature led him to travel all over India and Nepal. His extensive travels and colorful heritage have fueled his passion as well as inspired his Art.
Samuel is greatly inspired from two traditional Art forms originating from India; Kalamnakari and Mahdubani.
Through his painting, Samuel goes beyond the obvious to uncover symbolism in daily aspects of human life. His images are an in-depth look at human reality presented in his art through intricate deyails and lines thereby engaging the viewer to connect and find a renewed sense of meaning from the "Traditional Art” theory.
